Raw and Honest Blog of a New Single Mom

I am a single mother of a biracial baby boy just trying to make it on my own. This journey is hard, yet rewarding. Blogging is my therapy, these words are my heart, and people doing better and being inspired by what I have written is my passion and hope.

Confirmed

I had to get medically confirmed yesterday that I am indeed knocked up. Heh. They said I’m about 6 weeks and my baby should be due July 14.

When I got home Daddy signed online but didn’t message me. I decided to take the plunge. I messaged him first and simply said “Hey Daddy. Just wanted to let you know that I went to the doctors today and they told me I’m 6 weeks along, baby is due July 14.” then I sent him a copy of the paper.

To my surprise he responded “Hey .. whoa. Cool!”

And that was the end of the conversation. Ugh. So frustrating but I take what I can get I guess. At least he didn’t ignore me for once in 2 weeks! This guy is killin me ad he doesn’t even know. Or maybe he does but doesn’t care. Either way I’m pretty sure he was freakin high.

I’ve now told most of my family about the baby. Everyone is super excited. But me. I’m in pregnancy hell. Super morning sickness, sore boobies, sleeping all day. Uuuugh. It’s gotten old already.

You DO realize that your child’s father is a meth addict, right? That means that you should RUN RUN RUN away from him and never look back!!! For the sake of your own wellbeing and your child. You cannot allow a drug addict to be a part of your child’s life, and you should stay FAR away from him. If you intend to keep this baby you seriously should just do it on your own. The “father” is a messed up drug addict and BAD NEWS. GET AWAY while you can. STOP calling him. STOP hoping. STOP wondering what he is thinking. He is a drug addict, he’s only thinking about DRUGS.

Congrats on your pregnancy! You will really enjoy being pregnant. After my daughter was born I started missing having a belly and her kicking. Motherhood has been great I have a blog of what to expect after pregnancy http://firsttimeparents101.blogspot.com

I definately can understand the obsessiveness you have about getting just a reaction, but you have to know when to say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH and accept the reality that he was just a sperm donor to bring your little peice of heaven to you.
