   It can be rough, but try not to stress too hard about it. It is something that needs to be done but (in my opinion) if you can budget raising your baby with what you can provide, if child support comes on a regular basis then it's like icing on the cake.

   This, of course, is coming from someone who did not file. And occasionally regrets it.

   I agree with Nakia.
   I plan my budget around the money that I have coming in that isn't child support because we didn't file a formal agreement and I don't want to fully rely on something that may or may not come each month.

   I wish I hadn't waited a year and a half to make arrangments with James' dad though.
   Some months the money helps more than I like to admit.
   Don't feel intimidated though — child support is pretty cut and dry.

   I only feel intimidated because I'm afraid how he will react and how hard he would make things for us. He always said he refuses to be a Child Support dad, but he refuses be any other type of dad .. one that willingly helps us, one who is aware his son exists so I'm like what choice do I have?
