Raw and Honest Blog of a New Single Mom

I am a single mother of a biracial baby boy just trying to make it on my own. This journey is hard, yet rewarding. Blogging is my therapy, these words are my heart, and people doing better and being inspired by what I have written is my passion and hope.

My Son is Gorgeous :)

I got my 3D/4D ultrasound of my Little Precious today and wow, I’m speechless. I’m so proud and so amazed to see what I have created. To watch him move around, yawn, wipe his eyes and just BE in his little element. He’s so gorgeous and so amazing, I just wanna show him off to the world! LOL

All in all it was expensive ($125!!) and I only got about 9 3D pics out of the 15 minute session (and well video of the whole session too) .. but I think it was so worth it to see his pretty face and get to see something I only have one chance to see. :)

The whole time I watched him so attentively on the screen and tried to make out his facial features. I still think he looks just like Daddy so far. His facial structure and head shape, Daddy’s lips .. and when I thought he had my nose, nope! He has Daddy’s nose. The ultrasound tech looked a little confused. Trying to be as PC as possible she commented that Jack’s lips “aren’t very plump are they?” and she kinda squinted at and commented on his pointed-ish nose lol I’m sure she assumed my baby was full Black and was wondering in her mind what was going on and where these features were coming from. I didn’t say anything.

Speaking of the Devil, I was so ecstatic to have seen my son that when I got home I sent Daddy a Yahoo message (which he probably didn’t get because I do believe he still has me blocked, but I don’t care) to gloat how gorgeous my child is. I didn’t say baby’s sex, name or send any pics (he still has no idea what the baby is or if he’s born yet), but it was a short, simple message to let him know baby is still here and he’s missing out on something. :) I didn’t and don’t expect him to reply and that’s OK.

Oh and here’s an updated pregnancy pic of me. AGGH! So fat! LOL

I wish I'd had a 3d ultrasound done, and after these photos I'm definitely getting one for the next baby lol

Great photos! I never paid to have a 3D ultrasound, but I had to go to a high risk doctor once and they turned on the 3D capabilities for a moment… her nose and part of her face was always cut off because I was low on amniotic fluid and she had her face pressed firmly on my uterus.

Oh, and she looks EXACTLY like her dad and his side of the family — her personality is even more similar to her aunt's than mine. I hope I start seeing some of my characteristics (looks and/or personality) come out as she gets older or I don't know what I'll do!

They're worth it because they're so nice to look back at and it's something magical to see! I do think for what I got it would've been a LITTLE cheaper, but what evs! Haha

I've always had a feeling that my child would look more like his Daddy than me and I'm ok with that, but I'm dying to know what parts of me he will have!
