Is He Here Yet?

I’m still here, Jack still in tact. Had my 38 week appointment today and the doc said the baby has dropped but my body has made no progress, no dilation. Damn damn. I’ve tried everything I know .. sex, squats .. no help. I REALLY don’t want to be medically induced!
Yeah life is miserable right now. I’m huge, uncomfortable and in so much pain. I’m also sad that my belly suddenly produced stretch marks that go all that way up underneath my tits
Fuck you body. Whyyyy?? At least one good thing is happening and that’s my skin is clearing up the dryness and pregnancy mask which relieves me since I was so afraid it would not go away.
Now back to waiting! Just wanted to update.

I was thinking about you today!!!!!!!!
I had barely dialated 9 hours before I gave birth (I dialated 9cm in 9 hours I suppose). Everything happened on its own- no medical intervention at all.
I was three days past my due date. I was sure I’d end up being induced.
I didn’t get stretch marks until the last two weeks either. (Sucked… definitely.)
You’ll probably want to slap me for saying this… but TRY to enjoy the end of your pregnancy! He’ll be here so soon and then you’ll have a whole new set of issues to worry about! (Although, I will admit, the issues are a lot easier to deal with when you have a cuddly baby in your arms.)
I can’t believe it’s almost time!!!!!!!!!!! I’m so excited for you!

I didn’t get stretch marks until after I went overdue (except for one)
At two weeks overdue my body still hadn’t made even the teeniest bit of progress and I had to be induced.
Which sucked really, but it was over, start to finish within 3 hours, which hugely did not suck.
Good luck! Fingers crossed for you!

A few tips:
Walking- walking helps.
Emu Oil, Shea Butter, etc- you can try rubbing this into the area where the stretch marks are. It won’t make ‘em go away overnight but hopefully it’ll help.
Yeah, not a lot of tips I guess. I ended up being induced. It sucks and I waited quite awhile before asking for anything. The epidural helped… a lot.

I was induced. My labour – (from the painful part) was 17 hours. My friend went into labour at 38 weeks on Monday (aus time), her labour from the painful part was 22 hours. We both had epidurals. We both loved them.
Walking can help induce labour. Dont worry yet about being induced – you still have time! I dont know what your medical system is like, but here is Australia, we can go 10days over before they induce. Hopefully yours is similar.
Doctor appointments suck. The always tell you the negative stuff – cervix ISn’t open, Cervix ISNT soft and so on.
Your baby will come, and you will do a fabulous job at the labour and birth, and then afterwards as a mother. Trust yourself, and your body xo

I was in such a hurry to get that baby out, but now I realize I should have enjoyed my final days by myself!!! My son is the best thing to ever happen to me, but sometimes I miss the days where if I wanted to go somewhere alone, I didnt have to sneak out!! LOL! I was scheduled to be induce on a Sunday and ended up going into labor Wednesday night and had my son by emergency c-section Thursday evening. Walking does help. Sex didnt work for me either, but my best friend went into labor after having sex, then walking!! Good luck, and he will be here and growing fast before you know it!!!

I’m a single mom and a full time mom also.
When I am in labor its almost a long time. I waited 8 hours before I enter in the labor room. and now my son is 1 year and 5months old. He is very healthy.
