I am a single mother of a biracial baby boy just trying to make it on my own. This journey is hard, yet rewarding. Blogging is my therapy, these words are my heart, and people doing better and being inspired by what I have written is my passion and hope.

It comes down to what is best for you, if you have a genuine fear of giving birth or other concerns, talk to your doctor and midwives. And in the end, you have yourself, and new baby who totally depends on you. Thats all that matters, and how you get there really doesn't

Hi single mom seeking. I haven't gone yet! I go later on today in the afternoon. Still very nervous!

I've had vaginal problems in the past such as run ins with cancer and a few other things that make me prefer C-section. It's not so much being afraid of pushing the baby out, but more afraid that pushing the baby out and all the physical stress that comes with it would worsen previous complications I've had.

Found you through "Better Now." How did the appointment go?

I'm also curious about your reasons for a C-Section. I went all natural and it was the most amazing high of my life... I'm odd, I know.

Perhaps you can surround yourself with women who've given birth recently (and single moms?). They'll support you.

LOL i toyed with the thought of a C Section... knowing how big a baby is, and where it has to come from! Ouch.. :) But in the end i wasnt sure how i was meant to look after a new baby ANND recover from major surgery so i took the longer, more painful and exhausting route. It was long, scary and horrifying but in the end, i dont think it would have mattered to me if she had come out of my nose. She was tiny and beautiful and mine and here. :)
