I am a single mother of a biracial baby boy just trying to make it on my own. This journey is hard, yet rewarding. Blogging is my therapy, these words are my heart, and people doing better and being inspired by what I have written is my passion and hope.

I feel your co-sleeping agony. And the sleeping through the night agony. I had to just bite the bullet and mentally prepare myself for a few days of torment for myself...I let my daughter cry herself to sleep. It ended up only being one really long night. The next night was a quarter of the time and then it was over. Poof. And I wondered why I waited so long to do it (over a year). I think it is so much harder on the mommies than the babies.

And I also invested in a pack n play. It was her bed for a long time (she didn't have a crib for quite a while). No worries about the babe falling out! :o) And it became a comfort for her.

Best wishes!

LOL@ Meg.

I realize it's taking some adjusting for both of us. I can get him to nap in the bed and sleep half the night, but he will end up sleeping with me because I'm too tired to sit around when he wakes up for a feeding or changing. I prop him up o the boppy, he holds the bottle and we both fall asleep together. AGH!

I have been through this and pretty much failed. I got my son to stop sleeping in my bed but somehow now I cant manage to get out of HIS bed. Funny how things work.
